PM Deuba participates in 12th National Census



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has participated in the 12th National Census.

Enumerators reached the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar today, the first day of the campaign, to collect the details of the Prime Minister and his family.

Central Bureau of Statistics director Dhundiraj Lamichhane told the media that the Prime Minister’s participation in the national census send a positive message about the event to the public.

As he said, the family details of the President and the Prime Minister were taken to give a symbolic message that the population census is for all and to encourage the people to be part of this mega campaign.

According to Director Lamichhane, Bureau’s Director General’s team was there at the Baluwatar to conduct the census of the Prime Minister’s family.

On this occasion, the National Planning Commission’s secretary briefed the Prime Minister about the Census and its impact in every sector.

The 12th National Census was kicked off today with the collection of the details of President Bidya Devi Bhandari which was followed by the participation of the Prime Minister.

During the 15-day Campaign concluding on November 25, enumerators are making home visits of the people to gather the details demanded by the Census.
