DAMAULI: Five local levels of Tanahun district have been free of COVID-19 infection, said the district health office.
The virus-free local levels are Rishing, Ghiring, Devghat, Bandipur and Aanbukhaireni rural municipalities. Following the second wave of the infection, 134 infected people from Ghiring have got over the deadly virus, said Shankar Babu Adhikari of the district health office.
Likewise, 91 from Rishing have been free of the infection, 90 from Devghat, 268 from Bandipur and 111 from Aanbukhaireni.
The active infection caseload in the district is 38 and the death toll has hit 124. So far, 86,216 people have been vaccinated against the infection. Of them, 65,838 have been fully vaccinated.
