2 brigadier generals and 7 colonels recommended to major generals and brigadier generals



KATHMANDU: Two brigadier generals and seven colonels have been recommended for promotion to the posts of major generals and brigadier generals, respectively.

A meeting chaired by Chief of Staff (CoS) Lieutenant General Bal Krishna Karki recommended their names for promotion. The recommendation will take effect once it is endorsed by a cabinet meeting.

Those recommended to the pot of major generals are brigadier generals Pradeep Jung KC and Yog Raj Sharma. Currently, KC is at the Central Command headquarters, Pokhara while Sharma is based at Western Command headquarters.

Similarly, those recommended to the post of brigadier generals are colonels Bhola Nath Thapa, Bishnu Kumar Khadka, Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Prakash Raj Thapa, Bhuwan Khatri, Jyotindra Mahat and Manoj Kumar Silwal.
