12th Population Census: 50% women out of 44,000 enumerators

KATHMANDU: The 12th national population census, which is held every 10 years, is starting across the country from today.

Organizing a press conference on Wednesday, the Central Bureau of Statistics has urged all the citizens to participate in the population census and help the enumerators by providing them exact details.

The 12th national population census will continue until November 25. According to the Department, 44,000 enumerators and 85,000 supervisors have been deployed to successfully conduct the census. Of them, 50 percent are women. The offices of the population census have been established in all seven provinces and 77 districts.

Plus 2 graduates have been deployed to conduct the population census after giving them training on it.
