Nepal records 994 new COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 357 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 994 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 777 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 217 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 230 persons in Kathmandu, 85 in Lalitpur, and 42 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 357 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 12 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,368 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
