UML Standing Committee meeting underway in Lalitpur

Focused on UML Statute Convention



KATHMANDU: A Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the main opposition CPN-UML has started at Tulsilal Memorial Foundation in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

The meeting will dwell on general convention representatives, documents and preparations of the UML Statute Convention. Similarly, the meeting will also discuss its role in the parliament, informed UML Central Office Secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang.

The UML has been obstructing the parliament meetings since September 8 over the role of Speaker Agni Sapkota. The SC meeting scheduled for 4 pm yesterday was postponed at the last minute. The main opposition had postponed the SC meeting due to the House meeting.

UML is holding its general convention in Kathmandu on September 20-22. The Central Committee meeting will follow the SC meet on Sunday (September 12).
