DCC member of Ilam dies of COVID-19



KATHMANDU: The Ilam District Coordination Committee member Chandra Magar died of COVID-19 this morning. He was admitted to the B&C Hospital in Birtamod for treatment and died at around 4.30 this morning, said Ilam District Coordination Committee Chair Ganesh Baral.

He was admitted to Mechi Hospital a week ago after showing symptoms of COVID-19. Initially, the antigen test showed no COVID infection. He was admitted to the hospital after his health condition became critical. After being admitted to B&C, he underwent a PCR test and was diagnosed with Corona Virus infection.

A resident of Rong rural municipality-4 in southern Ilam, Magar was a member of the CPN (UML) Ilam Secretariat. With his death, Ilam has lost a talented young politician and people’s representative, said Ilam DCC Chief Baral.
