One dies, two get injured in vehicle collision in Saptari



RAJBIRAJ: One person died and two more got injured when a Nepal Army vehicle and a pickup van collided in Saptari on Wednesday.

According to Saptari Police, the accident took place near Kankalini Temple of Hanumannagar-Kankalini Municipality-1, Bhardaha on the East-West Highway.

The pickup van driver Meghraj Sharma, 42, of Damak, Jhapa died on the spot in the collision.

The injured have been identified as Bhabani, 52, of Itahari Sub-Metropolis-5 of Sunsari and Jamdar Jeevan Giri of Nepal Army.

The police informed that the injured are undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

The drivers of both vehicles are taken under control and the investigation is underway, police said.
