National consensus a must to endorse MCC: Speaker Sapkota



KATHMANDU: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has emphasized forging national consensus to endorse the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

“Since the issue has reached the doorsteps of the people, the MCC has to be passed on the basis of national consensus,” Speaker Sapkota said.

He said he was currently studying the MCC issue in a neutral manner, adding that it would be easier to move forward if there was a national consensus on the issue.

“I am currently analyzing the issue since it has already reached the doorsteps of the people,” he said.

“In terms of moving this forward, I want to focus on a national consensus,” he added.
