Tribute paid to late Indrakala Bhusal

KATHMANDU: Standing Committee Member of the CPN Maoist Center, Pampha Bhusal, has announced to establish ‘Indra-Govinda Memorial Fund’ in memory of her late parents.

She said that an arrangement has been made to provide scholarships to intelligent students studying at Lalitpur-based Mahendra Adarsha Secondary School by establishing the fund in memory of her mother Indrakala and father Govinda.

At a condolence meet organized at her residence in Lalitpur on the seventh day of passing away of leader Bhusal’s mother Indrakala on Sunday, she announced to establish the revolving fund. The Bhusal family had also established a fund at Janata Secondary School in Arghakhanchi district in the name of late father some 13 years ago.

At the condolence meet, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ recalled Indrakala as a politically motivated personality, adding that she was ‘a mother with strong willpower who always stood in favor of freedom’. Chairman Prachanda shared that communists give respect and security to the senior citizens. He further said that all should respect their parents when they are alive, not after their death.

Similarly, leader Bhusal said that her mother never told her not to get involved in politics and go for a revolt, adding that her mother was her source of political, physical, financial and psychological strength.

Likewise, Maoist Centre’s Spokesperson, Narayankaji Shrestha, leaders Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Dev Gurung, Barshaman Pun and others paid tribute to the late Indrakala.
