UML Vice chairman Gautam says the party’s ‘good news’ will come after SC verdict

KATHMANDU: Vice Chairman of ruling CPN-UML Bamdev Gautam has said that the intra-party dispute of his party would be resolved together with the Supreme Court (SC) verdict on the writ petitions related to the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

Taking part in Sunday’s session at the National Assembly, leader Gautam, who is also a member of the National Assembly, said that the good news related to party unity would come after SC’s decision on writ petitions related to HoR.

“Although we anticipated the good news to come at around 8 am this morning, and I wish to see it as early as possible, I am sure it won’t be later than the SC verdict,” he said.

Leader Gautam also lauded the budget Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel brought this year.

Despite the taskforce members claim that the announcement about the party dispute resolution would be made today, political analysts are skeptic over it especially considering the ‘one person, one post’ demand put forward by Khanal-Nepal faction leaders.
