Task force members of UML’s Nepal faction in internal discussion

KATHMANDU: Members of CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal’s faction are engaged in an internal discussion.

Although the meeting of the task force was scheduled for 8 am on Sunday, they did not reach the meeting venue on time.

It is learned that they are holding discussions at the residence of senior leader Madhav Nepal in Koteshwor.

The meeting could not start as the task force members of the Nepal faction were not present.

The UML party, which is beset by the long-overdue intra-party feud, had on Saturday said it would officially announce the consensus struck between the two warring factions on Sunday.

UML leader Gokarna Bista, a task force member, said consensus has been almost been reached and it will be made public today.

“We have sought a consensus on a package as per the aspiration of the entire party rank and file and the people in general,” said Bista, adding, “We will make it public on today.”
