Nepal sees 3,750 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

67 deaths reported across country, Kathmandu sees 1,140 new cases

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 3,750 new cases of coronavirus while 5,225 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 67 infected patients died of the virus infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 8,305 in the country.

There were 921 new cases in Kathmandu, 163 in Lalitpur and 56 in Bhaktapur, making the total cases in Kathmandu Valley 1,140.

The Ministry further stated that total infection cases so far reached 623,151. Similarly, altogether 520,816 infected persons have recovered so far. There are 75,275 reported active cases in the country.
