Thakur will write to President if anyone from party submits claim for govt formation: Rajendra Mahato



KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) leader Rajendra Mahato has said that Chairman Mahantha Thakur will write to the President stating the party does not want to be part of government if anyone from the party submits claim for new government formation.

The rift in the JSP is coming to the fore as Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (Maoist Center) and one faction of JSP are trying to form a new government.

JSP leader Rajendra Mahato and one Chairman Mahantha Thakur do not want to be part of government whereas another Chairman Upendra Yadav and Federal Council Chairman Baburam Bhattarai are working with NC and Maoist Center.

Meanwhile, leader Mahato said, “Chairman Yadav is longing for power. I don’t know why?”

He clarified that Thakur and he were clear about not extending support to NC President Deuba to form new government.
