Drugs, medical supplies received from Bangladesh to fight against COVID-19



KATHMANDU: Bangladesh has provided drugs and medical supplies to Nepal in its fight against COVID-19.

Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Dr AK Abdul Momen, and Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque handed over the health supplies to Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Bamshidhar Mishra amid a function in Dhaka this morning.

The Foreign Minister handed over PPE sets and a token box of Remdisivir injections manufactured by Bangladesh’s BEXIMCO Pharma to Ambassador Mishra as part of 5000 vials of Remdisivir to Nepal from the SAARC COVID Emergency Fund, according to the Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka.

The health supplies are expected to arrive in Kathmandu today from Himalayan Airlines.
