Banke records 12 new deaths linked to COVID-19



BANKE: Twelve more people infected with COVID-19 have died in Banke district in the last 12 hours.

Of them, nine died at Bheri Zonal Hospital, two at Nepalgunj Medical College, Kholapur and one succumbed to the pandemic in home isolation.

The deceased are a 53-year-old man of Sisne rural municipality, Rukum,  63-year-old woman of Barbardiya, Bardiya, 52-year-old man of Khajura rural municipality, Banke, 45-year-old man of Janaki rural municipality-4, Banke, 78-year-old woman of Badhaiyatal-3, Bardiya, 73-year-old man of Bansgadhi municipality-9, Bardiya, 68-year-old man of Nepalgunj-10, 21-year-old man of Gulariya-6, Bardiya and  85-year-old man of Badhaiyatal-1, Bardiya. They died in the course of treatment at Bheri Zonal Hospital.

Similarly, a 60-year-old man of Bansgadhi-5, Bardiya, 62-year-old man of Kohalpur-8, Banke died in the course of treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College, Kohalpur, according to Tej Wali, the focal person of Banke District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center.

Likewise, an 88-year-old man of Khajura-2 succumbed to the virus while doing time in home isolation.

With this, the number of deaths from COVID-19 has reached 197 in Banke district.
