JSP holding office bearers’ informal meeting

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is holding a meeting of its office bearers at the party office in Balkumari at 2 pm Sunday.

The JSP leaders have intensified discussions after Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba proposed formation of a coalition government, including the4 JSP.

Party leader Rajendra Mahato said that the informal meeting will discuss the NC proposal, among other issues.

The party is still undecided whether it should support the Prime Minister KP Oli government or align with NC and the CPN (Maoist Center) to form a new government.

However, Mahato had on Saturday hinted at the possibility of joining the PM Oli-led government if the latter addressed the party’s demands.

The party has been insisting that the government released all its leaders and cadres and withdrew cases against them.
