Eight India-returnees test positive for COVID-19



KATHMANDU: Eight persons in Baitadi, who returned from India, have been infected with COVID-19.

Out of 39 persons returning from different parts of India, eight have been confirmed positive in an antigen test tested at the Jhulaghat checkpoint.

Out of eight positive, seven are from Dasharathchanda municipality and one is from Dogadakedar.

According to the health office, eight infected people are living in home isolation.

A health desk has come into operation at Jhulaghat, a border point of Baitadi connected to India, since February 7 with the support of the Sudurpaschhim Provincial government.

A health desk has been set up to check the health of the people crossing the open border.
