NC holding office bearers’ meeting today



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of the office-bearers on Sunday.

The meeting to be held at the party office in Sanepa at 2 pm on Sunday will discuss the current political developments as well as the party’s 14th general convention, among other issues, party’s Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel said.

Likewise, the meeting will also discuss the agenda for the party’s Central Working Committee to be held on Monday.

NC has decided to hold its 14th general convention in August this year.

Meanwhile, discussions are underway within the party to form a new government under the leadership of the NC party.

It should be noted that NC General Secretary Dr Shashank Koirala had on Saturday said a new government would be formed under NC’s leadership soon.

He said the next government would be headed by NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

According to him, discussions were on with the Janata Samajbadi Party in this connection and this would be finalized within some days.
