Gold and silver trader shot dead in Lahan

LAHAN: A gold and silver trader was shot dead in Lahan of Siraha district last night.

The deceased has been identified as Pradip Kumar Bishwakarma, 40, of Lahan Municipality-22, police said.

According to SP Sudip Raj Bhandari, the person was shot dead by an armed group when he was sleeping inside his house around midnight.

The armed group also attacked the trader’s wife Amita with a sharp weapon, according to the police.

She is undergoing treatment at Lahan Hospital, SP Bhandari said.

Police have arrested two suspects. SP Bhandari said that further investigation is being carried out into the incident.
