UML’s Nepal-Khanal faction to issue protest statement against “Oli-attitude”

KATHMANDU: Disgruntled leaders of the CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal have decided to issue a statement of dissent in writing against party Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli’s attitude.

A meeting of the faction held on Thursday decided to issue a statement objecting to the activities being carried out by PM Oli.

“The CPN-UML has been reinstated as per the Supreme Court’s decision. But, we are concerned with the recent activities of PM Oli,” a leader of the faction said.

The leaders said that the meeting held on Thursday also denounced the activities such as occupying the party offices and attacking their cadres.

The disgruntled faction has also concluded that they would endeavor to retain the UML-led government for the remaining two years.

The faction has also emphasized the formation of a left government.
