NC demands immediate release of Jhakri

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has demanded to release the leader of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction Ram Kumari Jhakri immediately.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the party has called for the release of leader Jhakri who was arrested from her residence on the charge of ‘an act of treason against the state’ and has urged everyone to exercise restraint.

“Arrogant and indecent expressions have a negative impact on the society towards such parties and individuals and contribute to the disgust towards the whole politics. The party appeals for a restrained solution and demands her immediate release,” the statement said.
