Govt attorneys conclude debate in writs against HoR dissolution



KATHMANDU: Government attorneys on Thursday concluded their debate on writs filed against the dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR).

Chief Justice Cholendra Shusmher Rana had given one-hour time for them for today to present their arguments.

During the debate, personal lawyer for the Prime Minister KP, Oli, RC Gautam, said that the dissolution of the House of Representatives was constitutional as the Prime Minister was given the same rights as the King and Ranas.

He has demanded the dismissal of the writ petition filed against the dissolution.

After the debate on behalf of the public prosecutors concluded, the lawyers representing Speaker Agni Sapkota have started presenting their arguments.
