CoAS Thapa pays tribute to late king Prithvi Narayan Shah



KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff of Nepal Army Purna Chandra Thapa paid tribute to late Prithvi Narayan Shah by laying wreaths on his monument on the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day, 2077 at the Nepal Army headquarters on Monday.

CoAS also inaugurated the Prithvi Narayan Shah Study Center on the occasion.

The 299th Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day is being observed across the country by organizing various programs today.

Prithvi Narayan Shaha, who was born to former king of Gorkh Nar Bhupal Shah and Queen Kaushalyawati on Paush 27, 1779 BS, had formed a modern Nepal by uniting Baise and Chaubise kingdoms.
