Nepal sees 259 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 128 cases in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 259 new cases of coronavirus while 337 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 232 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 27 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 79 cases in Kathmandu, 7 in Bhaktapur and 42 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 128 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were three coronavirus-related deaths in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 11,552 in the country. There are 5997 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Friday.
