KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr Minendra Rijal has claimed that the party would get a new leadership after the 14th General Convention beginning today in Kathmandu.
Dr Rijal, who is a General Secretary candidate, said that the party leadership will change after the 14th general convention.
He said that if the current leadership of the NC changes, it will be easier for the party to go to the polls with a new face.
“On the day of the vote count, party President Sher Bahadur Deuba will be the outgoing President, but he will continue to be the prime minister.
“People will not believe us if we go to the polls with the current leadership and the same old faces,” he added.
