Sunsari UML dispute: Dwarika Chaudhary snatches microphone while Chairperson speaks

SUNSARI: The dispute in Sunsari CPN-UML has escalated. The ongoing controversy over the issue of taking the party back to the May 16, 2018 status has escalated following a dispute between the two factions.

A meeting was scheduled to be held in Inaruwa on Wednesday.

A dispute had erupted between Ramesh Basnet and KP Oli’s faction over the issue of taking back the party status before May 16, 2018.

The dispute escalated when Dharma Niraula, a central member of the party and district in-charge, was asked to chair the meeting.

Mayor of the Itaharu Sub-Metropolis Dwarika Chaudhary snatched the microphone when Niraula was addressing the meeting.

Chaudhary then left the venue after snatching the mic saying he would rather boycott the meeting.
