Curfew imposed in Motipur Industrial Area of Butwal



KATHMANDU: A curfew order has been issued in Motipur Industrial Area of Butwal, Rupandehi.

Rupandehi Chief District Officer Rishi Ram Tiwari issued a notice stating that a curfew has been issued in Motipur area from 4 pm on Sunday.

Motipur Industrial Area spread over wards 17 and 18 of Butwal sub-metropolis became tense after police and squatters clashed as the former attempted to evict the latter. Fire was also opened by the security personnel to contain the situation. Six people were also injured during the clash.

The administration imposed curfew upto the Tinau River in the east, agricultural land of Hariharpur in the west, Sivanagar Raniganj Basti in the north and industrial corridor in Butwal Sub-metropolitan-8 in the south.
