Man killed in elephant attack



BARDIYA: A person died due to an attack by a wild elephant at Khairi, Geruwa on the banks of the Karnali river.

The deceased is 35-year-old Bechan Dahit, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Hem Bahadur Shahi, said.

Dahit came under the tusker’s attack on Saturday night on the way home, one kilometer from Kothiyaghat of Rajapur Municipality-10. However, Dahit’s dead body was found this morning, Shahi said.
