PM Deuba asks ruling coalition leaders to submit name-list of ministers

To meet at 6 pm again



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the coalition parties to submit the name-list of ministers to participate in the government at the earliest.

Prime Minister Deuba urged the top leaders of the ruling coalition in the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar this morning.

Emerging from the meeting, Durga Poudel, vice-chairperson of Rastriya Janamorcha RJM) stated that Prime Minister Deuba requested the coalition leaders to finalize the names of the ministers and submit to him as soon as possible.

Prime Minister Deuba convened a meeting of the five-party coalition to discuss the cabinet expansion, the issue of passing the MCC from the parliament and the visit of MCC Vice-President Fatema Sumar to Nepal.

NC President and Prime Minister Deuba, General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka, CPN-Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav and Rastriya Janamorcha (RJM) vice President Durga Poudel are attending the meeting.

Incumbent ministers also participated in the meeting. The meeting will be held again at 6 pm today as the discussion was not concluded due to lack of time in the morning, a leader privy to the meeting said.
