NEPSE increases by 51.86 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 51.86 points on Tuesday.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 3161.44 points.

A total of 33.53 million shares of 225 traded today resulting in a turnover of 17.84 million.

Similarly, the shares of Banking Group increased by 39 points, Development Bank by 406 points, Finance by 190 points, and Microfinance by 73 points. Likewise, shares of the life insurance group increased by 211 points, shares of the non-life insurance group by 142 points, manufacturing by 44 points, and shares of other groups by 8 points.

Shares of the hydropower group, which have been rising steadily for the past few days, have declined today. Shares of 13 companies, including Best Finance, Multipurpose Finance, and Sindhu Development Bank, increased by 10 percent today.

Despite the rise in the overall market, the share of Sanjen Hydropower Company has dropped by more than five percent today. Today, the shares of most hydropower companies have declined.

The highest number of shares of Tamakoshi worth Rs. 895.8 million has been bought and sold today.
