Speaker Sapkota says he is serious on Darchula Tuin incident

KATHMANDU: Speaker at the House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota has said that his attention was seriously drawn towards the Tuin incident taken place in the Darchula district.

Speaker Sapkota in today’s meeting of the HoR urged the government to bring the fact about the incident.

Jaya Singh Dhami of Darchula had gone missing in the Mahakali River while crossing it via Tuin (improvised cable bridge) on July 30.

The government formed a probe committee on August 1 and has tasked it to submit a report within 10 days.

The team has currently reached Baitadi, the neighboring district of Darchula, in connection with investigating the incident.
