We know the way to put out the fire: UML Chair Oli sneers at Prachanda

KATHMANDU: UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Oli has taunted CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ claiming he knows how to put out the fire like the ones sparked by the latter.

Answering to Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda’s July 18 warning in the parliament that his party is like a fire that can destroy all the evil activities aimed against it, UML chair replied on Tuesday saying he knows how to douse such fire.

Earlier, indicating UML Chairman’s aggressive and insulting remarks against the Maoist Center, Prachanda had challenged the UML not to play with fire. In response, in today’s parliamentary meeting, Chairman Oli said that the UML knew how to put out the fire.

“Someone said I am fire. Don’t play with me,” former PM Oli said in the parliament, adding “Water should be poured to extinguish such fires. We know how to pour water.”

He went further sarcastic to Maoist Center Chair at the latter’s claim of seeking national consensus and asked how can such consensus be made by annoying the main opposition party in the parliament.

Known for his severe and personal criticism to the opponents, UML chairman Oli jeered at the minimum common program of the government and said that it has no meaning at all.
