NC leader Dr. Koirala says leadership candidate must be chosen from among him, Nidhi and Singh

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala has said that there should be only one candidate from among Bimalendra Nidhi, Prakash Man Singh and him in the 14th General Convention to bring about a change in leadership.

Talking to a news agency here, Dr. Koirala said leadership should be changed from the General Convention anyhow, and the three leaders, who are sons of NC founders, should stand together for that.

The three sons of NC’s founding leaders BP Koirala, Ganeshman Singh and Mahendra Narayan Nidhi, have been meeting alternately at each other’s residences and trying to build consensus on common candidates. Koirala said that it would be easy to convince other aspirants for leadership on fielding common candidate if they stood together at one place.
