Pro-government NYFN to protest against the opposition alliance on Sunday

KATHMANDU: National Youth Federation Nepal’s (NYFN)  CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli faction has rescheduled the protest program against the opposition alliance for Sunday afternoon.

According to sources, alleging that the opposition alliance comprising of main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-Masoist Center, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal and UML’s Khanal-Nepal faction did not let the government work effectively, pro-government youths have decided to protest against the alliance at 3 PM on Sunday.

Earlier the program was scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

NYFN claimed that the opposition alliance had been disturbing the government by organizing street demonstrations against the current government and the CPN-UML.

“Our protest is against the forces which have been standing against the rule of law, the independent judiciary and have been hatching conspiracy against the country,” a leader of the organizing committee said under anonymity.

The protest is scheduled to start from New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

Interestingly, the area the pro-government youths have chosen for the protest against opposition parties has been designated as a restricted area by the government.
