India records 1,206 deaths, 42,648 infection cases in past 24 hrs



NEW DELHI: India has reported 42,648 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 30,794,756.

Similarly, with1,206 deaths in the last 24 hours, the number of deaths from COVID-19 in the southern neighbor has climbed to to 407,173,  according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Currently, 461,700 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 29,925,883 have returned home after treatment.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 4,034,638 and infected 186,807,020 globally until the filing of this news.
