DCCMCs recommend extending prohibitory order by 15 days



KATHMANDU: The District COVID-19 Crisis Management Committees (DCCMCs) of the Kathmandu Valley has recommended the COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC) to extend the ongoing prohibitory orders for 15 more days.

A meeting of DCCMCs of Kathmandu Valley decided to recommend extending the prohibitory orders by 15 days in the Valley. However, the CCMC is yet to make the decision in this regard.

A meeting of Chief District Officers has been scheduled for Tuesday to make further decisions on the issue. The current prohibitory order ends on May 12.

Nepal recorded a total of 9,271 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours, with Kathmandu Valley accounting for 3607 fresh cases. There were 139 deaths, the highest single-day toll, in the past 24 hours.
