Party spokesperson says NC univocal for finding alternative to government

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress ((NC) Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma has said there is no intra-party dispute in terms of finding an alternative to the incumbent government.

Addressing a reception organized here today by the Nepali Congress and Nepal Students Union (NSU) Lamjung-Kathmandu liaison committee on the occasion of upcoming Nepali New Year, leader Sharma said, ”Party leaders are univocal for finding the alternative to the present government and have a common understanding that the country should go for the election under the leadership of NC-led government.”

As he said, the party was grappling with no such disputes in connection with the government formation under its leadership as is heard in media.

Sharma who also serves as the chief of NC Publicity Department claimed that the status of NC was not just limited to a political party, it reflected the society instead and it was capable of taking the country on right track.

He was of the view that transformation of the NC was possible if all associated with the party performed in the right way.

Also speaking on the occasion, NC central member Dil Bahadur Gharti said the NC would secure a victory in the election if it maintained party unity. He sought orientation for a new generation.

NC Lamjung president Bhesh Bahadur Poudel was of the opinion that NC leaders should first discard the culture of groups existing if they wanted to see a strong presence of the party.

Former assistant minister Dr Ramchandra Adhikari spoke of the need of integrated leadership in the party. Committee president Pradeep Adhikari called for collective efforts to further strengthening the party.
