FNJ polls: Results of 60 districts out; Bipul Pokharel takes lead for CC chair



KATHMANDU: The Central Election Committee of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has made public the results of the 60 districts and provincial institutions.

According to the results unveiled by the Committee, Bipul Pokharel is taking the lead in the ongoing vote-count with 1,916 votes for the chairman of the central committee (CC).

Pokharel has obtained 4,446 votes while his rival Nirmala Sharma has secured 2,530 votes.

Another contender for the chairman of the central executive committee Gajendra Budhathoki has obtained 287 votes.

Similarly, Ramesh Bista has been elected to the post of senior cice chairman, Bala Adhikari as vice chairman under women category, Udaya GM under inclusive category, Roshan Puri has been elected as the general secretary, Govinda Chaulagain secretary under open category and Kalendra Sejuwal has been elected as the treasurer of the CC.
