Three killed, nine injured in Lamjung jeep accident



LAMJUNG: Three people – one teacher and two students — have died on the spot when a jeep carrying teachers and students of Ganesh Secondary School in Marsyangdi village of Lamjung met with an accident.

The deceased have been identified as Kamal Rana, a teacher of the school and Pramisa Gurung, Ganesh Bhandari.

According to Lamjung Police Chief DSP Krishna Bahadur Karki, nine passengers of the jeep have been injured.

The dead and injured have been taken to District Hospital, Besishahar, said DSP Karki.

The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 6317) heading towards Bhusme Village of the district for a recreational trip had fallen some 150 meters from the road.
