Ruling five-party coalition discusses current political issues



KATHMANDU: The five-party coalition in the incumbent government discussed current political issues.

The alliance at a meeting at the official residence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in Baluwatar discussed an array of current issues like the Cabinet expansion, Millennium Challenge Corporation and ways to run the parliament session that started from Wednesday effectively, it has been learnt. Parliament session obstruction by the main opposition CPN-UML was also discussed.

On the occasion, Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Deuba stressed the need for expanding the Cabinet soon. The meeting was attended by CPN-Maoist Center Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and leaders from other coalition partners.

Prior to this, top leaders from the coalition partners held a meeting at Hattiban in Lalitpur wherein they discussed current political situations, it has been said.

The meeting was attended by Maoist Center Chairperson Dahal, Chairperson of the CPN-Unified Socialist Madhav Kumar Nepal and Chairperson of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal Upendra Yadav. RSS
