Nation can be made prosperous from path shown by the late BP Koirala: Dr Mahat



KATHMANDU: Joint General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has said all should work towards taking the Nepali society to the apex of prosperity through the path of democratic socialism.

He said this could be achieved by adopting the course determined by the late BP Koirala, the founding president of the Nepali Congress, the leader of Nepal’s democracy movement of 2007 BS and the first people-elected Prime Minister of the country.

Dr Mahat stated this in a message of best wishes he gave on the occasion of the 108th birth anniversary of BP Koirala Thursday. On the occasion, he also greeted the party leaders and cadres who are actively involved in the 14th general convention of the Nepali Congress.

“The Nepali Congress has been established as a reliable and popular political party capable of giving a direction and impetus to the country as it has proceeded ahead internalizing the values, and principles of democratic socialism founded by statesman the late BP Koirala.
