Top leaders of ruling parties hold discussion in Baluwatar



KATHMANDU: A meeting of top leaders of the ruling coalition has started at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar Thursday afternoon.

According to Prachanda’s press coordinator Bishnu Sapkota, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav and others are holding discussions on cabinet expansion and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), among other issues.

Prior to the Baluwatar meeting, leaders other than PM Deuba had also held discussions in Hattiban, Lalitpur.

The meeting is taking place as coalition partners are presenting differing views on the MCC in public.

Likewise, the cabinet expansion said to be done after September 8 is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Vice President of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Fatema Sumar arrived in Kathmandu Thursday morning and held discussions with CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli later in the day.

She will be holding meetings with all the top leaders of Nepal’s political parties.
