President’s Office submits reply to Supreme Court on cabinet shuffle



KATHMANDU: The President’s Office has submitted its reply to the Supreme Court (SC) on the issue of expansion of the Council of Ministers Friday.

In the reply, the President’s Office said President Bidhya Devi Bhandari’s role on the cabinet expansion is in accordance with the constitution. The SC had sought the opinion of the President’s Office as well on the matter.

Acting secretary Rupnarayan Bhattarai at the President’s Office wrote to the apex court that no case related to President’s action could be registered in the court and that the petition questioning President’s role is dismissible.
