NC Prez Deuba assures of holding party’s general convention in August

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has reiterated his commitment to holding the party’s general convention in August this year.

Issuing a statement on Wednesday, he said that since the party’s general convention is not only a technical or administrative issue, it is also a significant political campaign. I am well aware that it is a great sacrifice for the party’s strength and vitality.”

The NC had in last February decided to hold its 14th general convention from August 23 this year.

The party had decided to conclude the convention on August 26 as per the understanding reached between NC President Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel.
