Karnali, Pradesh 1 and 2 holding provincial assembly meetings



KATHMANDU: Karnali Pradesh is holding a Provincial Assembly meeting today. The meeting held on Monday had been postponed for today due to disruptions by the UML lawmakers.

The meeting has been called for 2 pm. The meeting called for Monday did not take place after opposition party CPN-UML demanded to dismiss Minister for Urban Development Ambar Bahadur Thapa.

The provincial meeting had taken place at 2 pm and 5 pm on Monday.  No sooner the first meeting started, UML Parliamentary Party leader Yam Lal Kandel vented his ire saying Minister Thapa, who has been accused in the criminal case, should be relieved of his post as the minister.

Similarly, a provincial assembly meeting is also taking place in Province 2. The meeting will take place at 1 pm.

Likewise, a province assembly is taking place in Pradesh 1. The meeting schedule for 12 pm will dwell on principles and priorities of the budget.
