Over 27.4 million recover from COVID-19 in India



NEW DELHI: The COVID-19 infection cases in the southern neighbor India have declined significantly, of late.

India recorded 91,227 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 29,088,176.

Earlier, the daily infection cases had reached up to 400,000.

Currently, 1,238,421 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 27,496,198 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 353,557-mark.

With 2,213 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 353,557, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,762,094 and infected 174,726,375 globally until the filing of this news.
