KATHMANDU: Preparations are underway to split ministerial portfolios to include CPN (Maoist Center) and Nepali Congress (NC) in Pradesh 2.

Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut has decided to split six ministerial portfolios into 10 to include Maoist Center and NC.

A meeting held on Tuesday evening took a decision to this effect, according to a source close to Chief Minister Raut.

“The discussions are underway to include Maoist Center and NC in the government,” Provincial government spokesperson and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Gyanendra Yadav said, adding, “Some ministries will also be split to include these parties.”

However, NC Parliamentary Party leader Ram Saroj Yadav has said no concrete decision has been taken on the issue of power sharing so far.
