UML leader Gautam calls for erstwhile SC meeting for party unity

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Bamdev Gautam has urged the establishment to call a meeting of the Standing Committee (SC) that existed before May 17, 2018.

Unveiling the decision of the work execution committee of the party unification national campaign held on Monday, leader Gautam said the erstwhile SC meeting should be called to save the party from splitting.

There were two senior leaders, four vice chairmen, one general secretary, two deputy general secretaries and five secretaries in the pre-May 16, 2018 SC.

Issuing a press note on Tuesday, party unification campaign coordinator Gautam said the work execution committee of the party unification national campaign has concluded that the six point proposal cannot be taken as an honest effort of the party unification.
