832 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in ICU and 267 in ventilators

KATHMANDU: There are 832 COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment in intensive care unit (ICU) and 267 in ventilators throughout the country as of Sunday evening.

During the regular press briefing of the ministry, spokesperson Dr. Jageshwar Gautam informed that 832 people are receiving treatment in ICU now.

Nepal recorded a total of 8,850 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 8,777 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 73 tested positive through the Antigen method.

The Ministry has informed that 3,161 persons in Kathmandu, 533 in Lalitpur, and 504 in Bhaktapur tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 4,198 in past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 4,022 persons returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

According to the Ministry, 52 people succumbed to COVID-19 related death in the past 24 hours.
